Acoustic Café is a two hour weekly radio show produced and hosted by Rob Reinhart, who started the show in 1995. Each week, tune in to Acoustic Café to hear the latest from today’s great songwriting talents. It’s hard to put a definitive label on Acoustic Café’s music selections.

Avondale Community Radio Show


The Avondale Community Radio Show is dedicated to the teachers, staff, administrators, and parents of the Avondale School District. Each week we focus on a theme related to the district and invite members of the community to participate. If you would like to be a guest on the show, contact Marty Shafer, Station Manager, at wahs@avondaleschools.org.

Digital Express

Frequencies. You can hear them in so many ways, so why limit yourself with physical instruments? Take a ride on the Digital Express, and you'll hear a new kind of sound. This block features of wide array of electronic music, including Future Bass, House, Lo-Fi, Melodic Dubstep, and so much more. This is a great place for new people trying a different music style as well as a home for the niche picks you just won't here anywhere else.

Educationally Speaking Podcast


Educationally Speaking is an Oakland Schools Intermediate School District broadcast which focuses on important local and national topics related to education that affect students, parents, teachers and administrators. The podcast is hosted by Oakland Schools Communications Specialist, Sarah Davis.

Funhouse with Stashu!

It's always an exciting time at the Funhouse with Stashu! Enjoy a nice variety of music from your spirtied host, Stashu! who is a record collector as well as a collector of ephemeral sound and recording.

Heavy Detours

Andrew Grieve provides a wide variety of music from the underground to the mainstream. His background and experience as Music Director for WAHS means he has one of the largest collections of music anyone has seen.

Human Fly Radio

Expect to hear a wide range of genres, including punk, post-punk, hardcore, garage, surf, exotica/lounge, new wave, hip shakin' rock-n-roll, doom/heavy/psych. Each episode will contain a segment called the 'Local Buzz', which features musicians and bands from throughout Michigan, past and present.

New Music 4 the Masses

Tune in every Monday night hosted by Avondale alumni, Sheri Stefan-Fucinari.  Many people are just too busy to spend time discovering new bands, there are some bands not in the main stream you might have missed and also so many local bands you might not have been able to get out to see. The Mix

If every other music block got together and made music, this is what you'd hear. Bounce to Pop melodies, sing along to your favorite song, or maybe just get another one stuck in your head for the next 48 hours. Old or new, these tunes are more Poppy than Pop-Corn itself.

The Motor City Blues Experience

"Terrible Ted" Gruici is the host of the Motor City Blues Experience where he plays a ton of electric blues rock across the years. Instead of acoustic guitars, think of Les Pauls and Strats plugged into Marshall Stacks.
